Another issue of Metalized Magazine has been published, and this issue marks my final issue as writer for the magazine.
The decision is long overdue, but it has (finally) been made. I wish the best to Metalized Magazine in the future. My path leads to another place, and it was time to resign.

And in this sense, I say, the world was before the Creation, and at an end before it had a beginning; and thus was I dead before I was alive, though my grave be England, my dying place was Paradise, and Eve miscarried of me before she conceived of Cain.

Yes, another issue has been published, and my contribution to #57 is yet again limited to some reviews. No need to comment further on that. A decision will be made soon.

Being a student of Assyriology at university, it hurts to read about the aftermath of the Golf War. The city of Babylon has been severely damaged and more than 15000 items from the museums has been stolen. More than half has now been returned but there is still a long way home. And this is very likely just the tip of the iceberg…

‘To the clean are all things clean’ — thus say the people. I, however, say unto you: To the swine all things become swinish! Therefore preach the visionaries and bowed-heads (whose hearts are also bowed down): ‘The world itself is a filthy monster.’ For these are all unclean spirits; especially those, however, who have no peace or rest, unless they see the world FROM THE BACKSIDE — the backworldsmen! TO THOSE do I say it to the face, although it sound unpleasantly: the world resembleth man, in that it hath a backside, — SO MUCH is true! There is in the world much filth: SO MUCH is true! But the world itself is not therefore a filthy monster!

If thou openest not the gate to let me enter,
I will break the door, I will wrench the lock,
I will smash the door-posts, I will force the doors.
I will bring up the dead to eat the living.
And the dead will outnumber the living.

Until philosophers rule as kings or those who are now called kings and leading men genuinely and adequately philosophise, that is, until political power and philosophy entirely coincide, while the many natures who at present pursue either one exclusively are forcibly prevented from doing so, cities will have no rest from evils,… nor, I think, will the human race.

Unbelievable! I completely forgot to post the news about Metalized Magazine #55 which was published April 1st. Anyways, my contribution is a Hellhammer feature with Tom Warrior as well as some reviews. Speaking of Thomas Fischer, I was surprised of him all of a sudden leaving Celtic Frost. Never saw that coming, especially with my interview with him in mind, where he talked about the forthcoming Monotheist Companion album as well as the next Celtic Frost album. Lets hope his new band, Triptykon will be as groundbreaking as Celtic Frost.
June 1st will see the release of Metalized Magazine #56. Again, my contribution is limited to only one interview, this time with Norwegian doom metallers Sahg.
A friend told me that some readers of Metalized are wondering if I am slowly exiting the magazine. I am not. However, I am very busy with my studies, and will have a hard time writing more material for Metalized at the moment. I have no idea for how long I will stay on board, but as long as I see fit. A phone call from a former partner in crime at Evilution Magazine planted a seed. Let’s see what comes out of that…

I rarely find time to watch a movie at home or at the movie theater. Life is busy, and it is one of these things I keep postponing till “I have time for it”. But I will certainly make sure to find time for the next Indiana Jones movie, that is for sure. Being a fan of the movies since being a teenager, I am so looking forward to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and I keep my fingers crossed that they will not blow it like they did with the second Star Wars trilogy. What a dissapointment that was…
Imagine my surprise and delightment when the May/June issue of Archaeology Magazine contained an article about crystal skulls, due to the new Indiana Jones movie. Fake or not, crystal skulls make a damn good story, and the movie will be great.
Right, Lucas? Don’t blow it this time!
